1. Data Controller and Data Processor. This website has been developed and is technically managed by NaturalDe Marketing, email: info@naturalde.es, in its capacity as Technical Secretariat of the FINEDESC Congress, acting as data processor on behalf of the University of Jaén / FINEDESC Congress Organizing Committee, which is the data controller of the personal data collected through this website.

Data processing is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

2. Purpose of processing. The personal data collected through the forms on this website (registration, abstract submission, contact, or other forms) will be used exclusively for the administrative, technical, and communication management of the FINEDESC 2026 Conference, including:

• The processing of registrations and participation in the conference.
• The communication of relevant information about the event.
• The management of abstracts, scientific reviews, and certifications of attendance or participation.
• The fulfillment of legal or contractual obligations arising from the organization of the event.

NaturalDe Marketing will process such data only in accordance with the Data Controller’s instructions and will not use them for its own commercial purposes or transfer them to third parties, except under legal obligation or with the express consent of the data subject.

3. Legal basis for processing. The processing of data is based on: The consent of the data subject, granted by voluntarily submitting participation or contact forms. The execution of a contract (registration and participation in the event). Compliance with legal obligations applicable to the organization of the Congress.

4. Transfer of data to third parties. Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties except in cases necessary for the proper technical or legal management of the Congress (for example, academic management platforms or online streaming services), always under a data processing contract and guaranteeing the confidentiality and security of the information. NaturalDe Marketing is not responsible for the data processing carried out by third-party websites or external platforms (for example, EasyChair, streaming platforms, or payment gateways), which the user may access from links available on this page.

5. Retention period. Personal data will be retained for the time strictly necessary for the purposes described and, in any case, until the end of the Congress and the issuance of certificates. Afterwards, they will be kept blocked for the required legal periods.

6. Rights of Data Subjects. Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability of their data at any time by sending a communication to: NaturalDe Marketing (FINEDESC Technical Secretariat)  info@naturalde.es indicating “Data Protection – FINEDESC” in the subject line. They may also file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) if they believe their rights have not been properly respected.

7. Information Security. NaturalDe Marketing has adopted the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security, integrity, and confidentiality of personal data, preventing its alteration, loss, or unauthorized access.

Use of the EasyChair Platform

For the management of submissions and scientific review processes, the FINEDESC 2026 Conference uses the EasyChair platform, an external system operated by EasyChair Ltd. (United Kingdom). All activities related to the creation of user accounts, submission of abstracts or papers, peer-review procedures, notifications of acceptance, and any subsequent communication with authors are conducted directly through EasyChair.

By accessing or using EasyChair, participants acknowledge that their data, uploaded files, and communication within that platform are subject exclusively to EasyChair’s own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, available at https://easychair.org/privacy.cgi. Neither the Organizing Committee of FINEDESC nor NaturalDe Marketing, acting as Technical Secretariat, have control over — or assume responsibility for — the data handling, storage, access, or further processing performed within the EasyChair environment.

Any materials, documents, or personal information uploaded to EasyChair are managed under the sole responsibility of the participant and the platform provider. NaturalDe Marketing does not moderate, alter, or reuse any content submitted through EasyChair, nor is it responsible for the subsequent use, publication, or dissemination of such materials by EasyChair or by third parties operating under their policies.
